Could you please help us find a loving home for these dogs?
We are open for rehoming between 10am and 4pm every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Please note, we require PHOTO ID, preferably photo driving licence but passport or Citizen card are acceptable, plus a utility bill or local authority council tax bill for the current year and to the correct address. A current benefit book or tenancy agreement are also considered suitable means of identification. WE DO NOT HAVE A CARD MACHINE so cash only please.
If you have other dogs, or children under 18, you would need to bring them to meet our dogs before the adoption would be allowed to proceed.
The adoption process
Once you have arrived at the rehoming centre, you will be asked to read our Terms and Conditions, which outline the responsibilities of pet ownership. If you agree that you can comply, we will ask you to fill out a form giving information about you, your family and your home environment. Once you have selected the dog we all agree is the best fit for you, an introduction will be conducted.
IT MUST BE REMEMBERED THAT MOST OF THESE DOGS WERE FOUND AS STRAYS SO HAVE VERY LIMITED OR NO HISTORY AND CANNOT BE GUARANTEED IN ANY WAY.
Each dog and each home will have individual needs and we will work with you to find out what you and your new friend require to ensure as smooth a transition as possible in to your home. In some instances we may want to visit your home, however this is not always necessary and we will guide you through our processes.
We may request a reference from your veterinary surgeon, or ask to see photographs of your garden.
Once the decision has been made, you will complete an adoption form. You will need to provide photo ID and proof of current address. The £125 charitable donation you make during the adoption process does not “buy” the dog you are adopting, as the charity has already funded their care. Your gift will help fund the care of the next dog in need, and therefore cannot be refunded.
