JOHN BIELBY

Chief Executive Officer and Founder Member. John crusades every day to further the cause and ensure the survival of the charity

Sue

SUE BIELBY BVMS MRCVS

Veterinary Director and Founder Member. Sue qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1983, wanting to help sick and injured animals. Her passion for the welfare of stray dogs was the spark that lit the flame that is now Stray Aid

 

Sue Vout

SUE VOUT BSc (Hons), PGCE

Chair of the Board of Directors. Sue is Sport Development and Engagement Manager and Acting High Performance Sport Manager at Northumbria University and Chair of the Northumbria Sport Foundation. Sue supports Stray Aid in all aspects of operational management and strategic development. She also supports the volunteer recruitment process.

Dave Clarke

DAVE CLARKE

Director. Dave works in the community to improve the welfare of dogs and promote responsible dog ownership

 

Jan Blakey

Cllr JAN BLAKEY

Director. Jan is a County Durham Councillor who works in the local community

Andrew Barnes Director

ANDREW BARNES MA, LL.B

Director. Andrew is Legacy Partnership Manager for Cancer UK and will assist in future-proofing the charity

Rehoming Centre Manager.  Jeremy is the rehoming centre manager

Kennel Supervisor. Dawn works tirelessly to ensure that kennel procedures are adhered to, and that all kennels are maintained to a clean and comfortable standard for our dogs

Charity Ambassador. Sharni goes out into the community raising awareness of the charity and the vital work we do.

Allison

ALLISON LATIMER BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon. Allison helps meet the welfare needs of the animals and operates in the Stray Aid welfare centre at least 2 days a week, carrying out a comprehensive range of operations, from routine neutering to complicated general surgeries


Hannah

HANNAH CRITCHLOW 

Rescue Co-ordinator. Hannah networks with other rescues across the UK

Update on this article - Stray Aid came SECOND and won £2,500 to buy a large walk-in dog bath so even the biggest dogs can get bathed, plus an extra £2,500 to spend in store!
