Why We Do It

Stray Aid really is a labour of love. We are run by a mixture of staff and volunteers who are all united by the desire to save the lives of stray and abandoned dogs, to rehabilitate them, and to send them off to their forever homes.

Each of us has a story to tell, please get to know us a lttle bit better!

Charlie with Daisy

Pictured above is Stray Aid's first Chairman Charlie Marshall with his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Daisy. Sadly Daisy is no longer with us, except in the hearts of all who knew her, but Charlie's support for the charity has never faltered.

John and Miles Sue and Miles

Above are founder members John and Sue Bielby with their rescue dog, Miles. At only 4 years old, he had health problems which made him very difficult to rehome. Dogs like Miles are the reason why Stray Aid was set up in the first place. He deserved a second chance, so they gave him one! Their lives are richer because of him.
